Lady GaGa Performs at Royal Variety Show

Lady GaGa is incomparable. She was invited to entertain the Royal audience at the Royal Variety Show in London.

She performed the variety show wearing a red leather dress with a 20ft long red train inspired by Queen Elizabeth I. The dress had a huge ruffle on the neck match with perfect red boots. The huge circles of sparkling red eye make-up completed the look.
The singer performed Speechless song and had a chance to meet her Royal Highness The Queen of England - Queen Elizabeth. She curtsied and shook her hand after the performance.

Pick your Prada Shoes for Spring/Summer 2010

PRADA - high end designer - shoes. Apparently Miuccia Prada was inspired by "business to beach". It's more like "dollar store to stripper club". The slide on mules are pretty bad, but I may wear them to the pool if they were given to me (but I would never pay a dime for them), but all the rest with the overly obvious Velcro attachments are absolutely hideous.

The chandelier attachments make the shoes even worse and are flat out costume-y. It's almost as if she tried to make them ugly and cheap looking to pass it off as art - Maison Martin Margiela style.

Muccia Prada's reputation as one of fashion's great intellectuals surely doesn't rest on her shoe designs.

Flavours Of Prada Spring 2010

The Spring 2010 Prada show has been successfully released, and the details are already rolled in. During the show, the set evokes black-and-white film stills, and the runway is apparently all about the beach, with silk palm tree and beach scene-printed mini shorts and jackets, clear jeweled jelly shoes and dresses, and low side ponytails and glossy red lips.

Prada AMO Fall/Winter 09 Lookbook

The Prada lookbook is something to perceive by our visual faculty. Fans are very excited to see the collection each season because of the creativity involved in the design and skyrockets them to the next level for the label's collection.

Anyone could possibly perceive their current lookbook issue and compelled by the amazing images. The brand's most recent Ad Campaign was very dramatic, but it is nothing when compared to the Fall/Winter 09 Lookbook.

The issue was produced by the AMO studio with artwork by Jeroen Koolhaas and Lok Jansen. The looks were created by manipulating, adding to, and altogether improving backstage photos from the collection's runway show.

The Prada website describe this as:

"AMO's journey through the concepts of the collection: untouched nature, looming crises and urban decadence become graphic themes, and meet fashion in an unedited imaginary." View on Fashion

The Horse Wears Prada

Even Horses are fond of PRADA??? I was totally shocked and amazed after I browsed the world wide web of fashion.

Definitely TRUE and I am not dreaming! Prada are known for being creative with their fashion campaigns. Steven shot Prada's Fall 2009 campaign at Pier 59 Studios with lot of surprises.

Meisel are not cheap huh! According to FWD,the marathon shot lasted for four days and he summoned a real, live horse to the set.
As we always think, nothing goes better with crotch-skimming thigh-high apparels than livestock.

I'm just wondering how much will be the horse-model rates compare to the rate of an "anorexic-like" models.

I thought ponies were only Michael Klein's thing! LOL!

Prada Fall-Winter 2009-10 Ad Campaign

Prada doesn’t feel the strong breeze anymore but the tide of fashion is still hot! Last season, they went for the domino-models lineup and the models are still strong this coming Fall!

The Prada Fall-Winter 2009/2010 Ad Campaign expertly filmed by Steven Meyzelom brings together the dark waters and crimped hair beauties of Anna de Rijk, Julia Hafstrom, Katlin Aas, Kendra Spears, Ymre Stiekema under Steven Meisel’s lenses.

The studio shots are less psychedelic than the previous campaigns and once again distinguished itself with bright images and an unusual theme. The Prada Fall 2009 images come with no less digital enhancement than an ordinary magazine cover. Plasticizing and depersonalize the characters of the beautiful and impeccable faces of models bringing more focus to the clothes and accessories.

The story continues with more images right after the jump!

Odd Prada Shoes for Women

The Prada Fall 2009 Shoe Collection was quite eclectic, and as usual per Prada, very odd. It something not very feminine, but it's typical Prada with unisex designs.

Miuccia Prada once said for her collection: "I didn't want to do anything about the city,...more something about sport and the outdoors in general—freedom and nature."

In my own opinion, this collection is what so-called a "disaster of city life" without a hint of nature. I'm not surprised by this collection, as we all know Prada does a lot of unisex, odd designs, but I wish for something nice like last seasons pailette collection.

Oh well, at least the handbag collection was good and styish!

Sex and the City Movie Big Comeback!

Are you a big fan of designer clothes, handbags and shoes like Prada, Manolo, Gucci, YSL and a lot more? Then you'll find this fashion influential movie "Sex and the City" perfect for you! The characters of this movie will spark your eyes again for the latest trends of designer stuffs such as high-end designer handbags, shoes and clothing to its BIG BIG comeback this coming 2010 as the "Sex and the City 2" movie.

Who would not love the clothes and shoes of Carrie Bradshaw, definitely has the most fashionable wardrobe of all the Sex and the City girls.

eonline UPDATES: SATC writer-director Michael Patrick King confirms the scoop! , King says, "I'm very excited to work with these amazing actresses again and would love to give everyone more information about the sequel...but I'm busy with my 'Sex' life."

What it makes more interesting in the movie is that no villains are present for the women to overcome. No one is standing in the way of each woman’s happiness except themselves. So what makes Sex and the City different from other movies? It was one of the highest rated movie of the season. The good thing about this movie is that the female characters of Sex and the City might be unreal, but they can teach us how to find LOVE and keep it, and of course it will INSPIRE US about FASHION.

I'm very excited to watch SATC full movie trailer!!! So, stay tune for more updates!

How many PRADA accessories ranging from handbags, shoes, dresses and other ensembles will be used again?

Let the speculations begin!

Meryl Streep Transforms from Prada to Julia

She looks very refined in "PRADA"...

Meryl Streep, a 60-year-old award-winning actress doesn't quite look like the mirror image of the famed TV chef, but with her head of brown curls, crinkled eyes, wide smile, and faint dusting of powder, she utterly becomes her. With some help from a longtime friend, makeup artist and hair stylist - J. Roy Helland since early 80's.

"He's a collaborator in everything she does, and the hair and the makeup is just part of it. I think he's an extra pair of eyes for her in every single way," said "Julie & Julia" director Nora Ephron.

"Meryl has a very angular, almost chiseled face, very strong cheekbones. The nose is quite dominant, with nice, full lips. But I think an awful lot of Meryl's look comes from within her, and what she's portraying," said Engelman, governor of the makeup and hair stylist branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. "I think what works so well is the makeup doesn't jump out at you. You don't want to see a set of lips walking into the room, and an actress behind them," said Engelman, Cher's primary makeup artist since 1986.

In "The Devil Wears Prada" Streep's magazine editor has a white poof of hair and icy, strong eyes to complement to her high-fashion wardrobe. "She looks very refined in 'Prada,'" Engelman said. "The eyes weren't overly made up but they were very strong, like they were looking for you, those piercing eyes."

"It's this thing called acting. Many actors could do this, but Meryl has the chops to do it, and the guts to really go for it," said Ephron. "It's a combination of her hair, her makeup, her clothes, her height, it's everything." read more www.examiner.com

Anna Wintour : The Devil Behind her Prada

Talking of fashion and lifestyle magazine, no one captivates the hearts of everybody except for VOGUE America.

The September issue is the most "killer" one, garners the most attention and revenue. Thick as a telephone book, raging with ads and sets the tone for the next fashionable season.

Behind the success is a fearsome American Vogue editor, Anna 'Nuclear' Wintour.

As quoted "Truth is stranger than fiction."

Does anyone remember The Devil Wears Prada, the movie adaptation of the novel about life at a New York fashion magazine, in which Meryl Streep played the despotic editor who reduced her staff to jelly, tears and occasionally, nervous breakdowns? Written by Wintour’s former assistant Lauren Weisberger, everybody thought it was based on her old boss, who has been at the helm of the magazine since 1988. But nobody really believed that it was a true depiction of her. Surely Wintour - or Nuclear Wintour, as she is often referred to - wasn’t that bad? Surely Streep’s character was just a gross Hollywood exaggeration? more reading...

She is truly "The devil behind her Prada"

Prada at Ms. Universe Beauty Pagaent

The Miss Universe competition is in 58th year and still making history. I wish that the House of Prada will showcase its haute couture in the upcoming years of the Ms. Universe Beauty Pageants by sponsoring the event organizers.

Every girl grows up with the dream of being a princess and only some go on to realize it. Dressed in the finest gown with a glittering crown adorning on her head, wave to the world at with strong feet! The World's most prestigious beauty pageant The 'Miss Universe contest' has been creating such fairytales for more than five decades.

The annual international beauty contest is organized by the Miss Universe Organization. This quest for the worlds most beautiful began in 1952 and was founded back then by the California clothing company Pacific Mills. It was acquired by Donald Trump in 1996 and is currently jointly owned by Donald Trump and National Broadcasting Company (NBC).

This would be the greatest challenge to the House of Prada since we are talking "HAUTE COUTURE"!

Haute couture is made to order for a specific customer, and it is usually made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finish, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques.

Do you think the House can afford to do it?

Season's Sexy Prada Shoes

"FUSION" is a buzz word in the world of fashion right now.

The "IT" handbag has been replaced by the "IT" shoe. Gladiators were hot, but towering, decorated and strappy platforms are an even bigger kick in the aggressive-shoe trends.

The two must-have styles are clearly related, but there's been some improvement, thanks in part to chunky platform soles, woven textures and more sex appeal.

The
sexy Prada shoes are not a new phenomenon. It's been on the runways for all seasons, apparently, its because of the rocker-femme kind of mood that's coming back into fashion.

Feel the Italian spirit...

Seasons Perilous Prada Platforms

Given the past Prada runway shows, the Spring/Summer 2009 collection was famous for having shoe styles that were positively proven dangerous to runway models.

These ever-tottering shoe heights came as no surprise that platform shoes are making a serious play for the Prada shoes Spring/Summer 2009 collections.

Others think “the higher the better”, the stylish heels designed for women is something elusive this particular season. If you want to fly with the angels while keeping your feet on the ground, the house Prada have been revealed to the public and readily available on your designer boutiques.

Prada Spring 2010 Menswear Collection

The designer, Miuccia Prada came up with some latest fashion for men in a Milan where the overriding feeling is of designers twist from their own previous body of work. The Prada Spring 2010 Menswear Collection was covered and mixed with colors ranging from black to white made up of quotes from confusing movies to a great new stage set of wet shade walls.

You could imagine the show seems a somber summer moment because of quotes in giant two-foot-high script and the charcoal foam seating to the collection itself, largely made up of various takes on gray.

Miuccia once said: “A movie, in black and white,” floated around with trays of the ideal, color coordinated cocktail – a White Russian. Even though it was restricted in color, this is one of the most innovative shows ever in Milan collections.

Prada Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger

Prada’s new Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger is the first in a projected yearly series of limited edition “Ephemeral Infusion” fragrances drawing on fragrance notes from the harder-to-find (and more expensive) Prada Exclusive scents. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the Ephemeral Infusion fragrances are designed to “evoke a light memory of the original ingredient”.*

Prada Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger is available in 50, 100 and 200 ml Eau de Parfum and in matching body products. It will reportedly be available for 4 months. * via Women’s Wear Daily

Prada 2010 Resort Handbags

Surf’s up in the city, and it looks great. For her resort collection, Miuccia Prada infused high style with a beachy attitude. She opened her show with color-spliced looks in the shades of Miami Beach — sand, coral and aqua — albeit taken down in the interests of chic.

These were typically draped in back over short skirts. Prada’s other big message: bold prints, worn in multiples or with shirts and varsity sweaters. And throughout, she tied one (or more) on, knotting skirts, tops and even Bermudas and bikinis, a note that referenced languid island life while adding a touch of sass.
